You ask

“What do you want from me?

Is it money or diamonds or fame?

I’ll give you what ever you want. 

Just leave me be.”

But it is not something tangible that I want from you!

It remains so much more!It is the essence of life that I need, love. Diamonds, emeralds, rubies!

What can they do for me? 

They cannot nurture me, 

They are not warm.

They are cold as stone-

they have no hearts.

They cannot feel,

They cannot feel anything!

And that is what I need from you.

I need love, hate, joy, sorrow-

Emotions. 

Emotions! That we just share together in the waxing light of the sun.

Something that diamonds and rubies and emeralds cannot give.

I’m willing to put them in a raft and watch them burn away in the ocean!

All those cold, head, heartless riches that signify nothing more than a hollow life. 

I am willing to walk into war-

Just to return to you,

Hoping that you’d just have emotions to share with me.
